After installing Disk Drill For Windows, As you can see, This free to use data recovery program  has a very easy to use and truly user friendly interface.

On the upper right hand side, There is a settings icon containing 7 buttons to make your preferred settings and access its features.

Beneath this section, Here you can find all installed hard disks, memory cards, USB pen drives and any other plugged in storage devices.

There is continue button with drop down menu, You can use 6 more recovery options respectively run all recovery methods, Undelete protected data, Quick scan, deep scan, Universal partition search and load last scanning session.

Protect button lets you turn off or on recovery vault. Recovery vault is a very useful feature in Disk Drill for Windows. While recovering data, It happens and It’s possible that some data may be lost if the empty space is overwritten by other files. You should not be worried, If Recovery vault is turned on.

As you can see there is a button named extra with drop down menu next to Protect button.

In case If you cannot see all partitions, Select universal partition search from the drop down menu, It will bring all partitions in front of you, even unallocated ones.

Let’s suppose, I want to recover lost data from “Drive I” . here I would like to suggest you use “Run All Recovery Methods” option from drop down menu, If you have enough time to wait for results. In my case, Since I’m in a hurry, So First of all, I’ll go for quick scan option, This scanning option brings recoverable content in front of you in a matter of seconds.

Now you can recover what you want to. All you need to do is first set or choose a location where you want to save a recovered file or folder from here. Filter option is also at your disposal to swiftly find a specific lost or deleted data. You can filter results by all video, audio, document, archive, size and date.

Then check a single or multiple files or folders and then click recover button.

please Keep in mind, the results brought by quick scan option are not mostly comprehensive. If you don’t find your desired file or folder then you can go for Deep scan recovery option. It takes more time than quick scan recovery options though but chances are higher you can recover your desired data.
