One of our respected subscribers has requested to create a quick tutorial on how to download GIMP and install it the right way. Though downloading and installing Gimp is not a rocket science, but I have created a video tutorial to fulfil his request, because I value each and every subscriber.

Before downloading Gimp, You need to determine whether you have a 32 bit or 64 bit PC. Actually, The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer’s processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system. For an example, If you have a 32 bit PC, then you cannot install more than 4 GB of RAM. A 64 bit PC can recognize up to 128 GB or more.
You might be thinking how to check if my computer is 64 bit or 32 bit? It’s very easy to find out. Go to control panel and double click on system, Here you can see system type. As you can see my PC is a 64 bit operating system, So I am going to download Gimp 64 bit installer. This formula applies to all Windows versions XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and 10.
In addition to normal installer, Here you can see they also offer a portable installer. The advantage of choosing portable installer is that it does not need to be installed. you can use it even without installation.
I have 64 bit PC therefore I download its 64 bit installer. Okay! I pause the video till download completes.
