Let’s exclude hosts file in Windows defender. Click on start menu and then search for Windows defender.

This search will bring up Windows Defender. Click on it.

Click on setting icon.

Scroll down until you find Exclusion.

Click add an exclusion.

Click Exclude a file.

Here you need to locate the host file’s location in Windows 10.

Click C.

Click System32

Here you need to search for a folder named Driver.

Here you’ll find the hosts file in folder etc. Mark the hosts file and click exclude this file.

Then Windows folder.

Click System32.

Here you need to search for a folder named Driver.

Double click on it and open it with Notepad.
