How To Make Ubuntu Bootable USB In Windows 10/7/8/8.1/Vista/XP To Install Ubuntu

In today’s tutorial, I will be showing you how to make a bootable USB on a Windows PC, so you can install Ubuntu.

To create a bootable USB to install Ubuntu, I will use a little free USB bootable software.

Bootable USB Or DVD?

You can make this on a DVD disc too. The benefits of using a bootable Ubuntu installation USB are that it is easy to do, and it saves you time and money.

Ubuntu Bootable USB Creation Requirement

We need an ISO image file of Ubuntu, a 4GB USB flash drive, you can use a memory card as well, and a bootable USB utility for Ubuntu such as Universal USB Installer.

Plug USB Into Your PC?

Before you create an Ubuntu bootable USB, make sure you have a 4 GB USB flash drive plugged into your desktop PC, Laptop, Netbook, etc.

Backup Your Data

You must remember to make a backup of the data stored on your USB flash drive before proceeding further.

Launch the Universal USB Installer program.

So, since you need a bootable Ubuntu installation USB disc, select Ubuntu from the drop-down menu.

This browse button allows you to find an ISO image of Ubuntu.

After you have located the ISO file, you must now select a USB flash disk or memory card to place the Ubuntu installation files.

Remember to check We will format XYZ or whatever drive you chose as FAT32 to avoid any potential problem.

You now need to click create.

Choose yes to make it create a bootable USB.
